My name is Oliver Bray
I’m a 22 year old country singer-songwriter from Oyster Pond, Nova Scotia.
I’m studying Education at Saint Francis Xavier University with the goal of becoming a teacher.
I was raised in a small town where family, community, and connections shaped how I see the world.
Those roots keep me grounded and remind me what matters most.
Where I come alive is on stage. The second I start singing…
I become someone else.
It’s not an act, it’s just a raw version of myself that only shows up under the lights.
Performing takes me somewhere nothing else can, and that feeling drives me to keep chasing it.
Every show is a chance to give everything I have and leave a piece of myself behind in the music.

My Music
I tell stories through my music, creating a powerful emotional experience that keeps the audience hooked. My goal is for listeners to connect with the lyrics and feel the full range of emotions, as we ride together through a rollercoaster of highs and lows. I keep the crowd on the edge of their seats by blending soft, intimate moments with gritty, raw power, delivering everything from soft-spoken whispers to grungy, hard-hitting vocals.
My genre blends Rock and Roots Country, drawing inspiration from artists like Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Sam Barber, Luke Combs, and others who blend authenticity with raw emotion. What sets me apart from many performers is the focus I place on my compelling, powerful vocals, which create an energy-filled experience your patrons won’t soon forget. Whether it’s a laid-back acoustic set or a high-energy performance, I guarantee my music will leave your audience wanting more.
BACKGROUND
My journey as a singer-songwriter began long before I hit the stage professionally. From leading school musicals and singing karaoke to putting on house concerts for my family, music has always been a constant in my life. In January 2023, I took the leap into the professional music scene after gaining recognition in a karaoke contest at The Old No. 7 Restaurant and Sports Bar. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to perform at various venues across the province, connecting with audiences of all ages.
One of the highlights of my journey so far has been performing at the Trunk7 Music Festival in Porters Lake and competing in the ECCMA’s Country Star Search at the Mill Cove Brew Pub. These experiences helped me grow as an artist, giving me the chance to perform on larger stages and thrive in those conditions. I’m driven by a deep passion for music, both in singing and songwriting, and I’m excited to continue exploring music and sharing my love for entertaining and performing.
